Regenerative medicine is the process of triggering your body’s natural healing processes, and the O-Shot® is one of the most exciting advances in women’s health. This treatment involves drawing a small quantity of your blood, processing it to concentrate the healing factors, and injecting it into the inner vaginal lips to stimulate natural tissue growth. The O-Shot can help restore your sexual health – in the most natural way.

What is the O-Shot?

The O-Shot is a female sexual enhancement treatment that can significantly improve your quality of life. It has no risk of causing an adverse reaction, as your body recognizes the injected cells and easily accepts them because they have come from your own system. The procedure takes only minutes to perform, but can have a far-reaching impact on your quality of life.

How does the O-Shot work?

PRP (platelet-rich plasma) has long been used in medicine to speed wound healing and tissue repair. After extracting your blood, it will be run through a centrifuge to increase the concentration of platelets. Platelets are what your body uses to heal wounds, and contain growth factors, a molecule made by your body that stimulates cell repair. With the O-Shot, the growth factors in the PRP work to restore healthier function, stronger, thicker tissues and restore a higher level of sexual response.

What can the O-Shot treat?

The O-Shot can treat a range of female conditions, including:

  • Sexual dysfunction
  • Vaginal dryness
  • Decreased libido
  • Urinary incontinence
  • Overactive bladder

What is the O-Shot procedure like?

At South Coast Plastic Surgery in Irvine and Ladera Ranch, our O-Shot treatments are performed with total discretion and privacy. A numbing cream is applied to the vaginal area, and the PRP is then injected into the area near the clitoris. The treatment is reasonably brief, and includes three steps: drawing blood, processing the blood, and injecting the PRP.

What will the O-Shot do for my quality of life?

Over time, the vaginal tissues can thin and lose volume. This is a common age-related issue. The production of natural lubrication diminishes, and other problems – such as urinary incontinence – can arise. Women who have had children may be unhappy to find the vaginal tissues have stretched, reducing natural sexual response. The O-Shot triggers natural regeneration of the vaginal tissues and can:

  • Increase sexual response
  • Restore a more youthful look to the outer vaginal lips
  • Tighten the vagina
  • Increase sexual desire
  • Treat painful intercourse
  • Increase natural lubrication
  • Decrease urinary incontinence
